Sooo...

..I have this big rule about never dating people you work with. I believe it's wrong and it can get complicated and etc. I've never been interested in anyone I've worked with until recently. A couple of months this guy Dylan started. After a couple of weeks I started looking at him in a different light, the one where you start seeing people as attractive, seeing the things you like about them, start thinking about them as other then a friend or co-worker, etc. One of the biggest problems is that he is 18. I'm 23 (uh oh just revealed my age). That's five years, right now it seems big, but maybe in five years it won't. And it's really bothering me that I have a crush on this person because I can't even remember the last time I had a crush on someone and his age and we work together. But this guy has quite a few things I like in a person: he's funny, smart, a little bit goofy, nice, and he's cute. From the chats we've had he seem to have similar interests. It's just very annoying having a crush on someone in which the situation will probably never happen. Half the reason that I believe that I am in college is that I will find someone. I still have a few more semesters to go, so I am not losing hope entirely but I am getting lonely and would really like someone in my life. My mother keeps on saying I should join match.com/eharmony.com but I don't think I am that desperate...yet.

For the time being, I guess I will just lust after my co-worker from afar.

Hair Dye

So tonight I decided to dye my hair. The color on the box was "Light Brown" and you add on highlights afterwards. I start the process and am letting the dye sit and I notice that the color is awfully dark, about the same shade as my current hair color, medium/dark brown. I check the box and tube to make sure that it's the right colors and it is. I wash, condition, and blow dry and my hair is the same exact fucking color it was before. No change what so ever. I'm pissed, I did that damage to it for nothing. So I go to work on the highlights to try and do something. The box and instructions make it look and sound easy, but nope. It was a pain in the ass and I gave up using the little tool the kit came with and started using my fingers. I'm sitting here with my hair up in a towel, terrified to take it out and see what it looks like because before I washed out the highlights it looked a little more dramatic then I wanted. I haven't dyed my hair in at least three months, possibly longer. I just hope this doesn't look super ridiculous so that I have to dye it again. I'm really annoyed.

Contacts

I got contacts over a year ago and I thought that I was in love with them. No more wiping the lenses of my glasses, no more pushing the glasses up when they fall down my nose, and no longer will the sun bother my eyes. With contacts I could wear sunglasses! I bought many pairs because I was just really, so excited. A little over a year has passed and when I got my new prescription for contacts, I decided to get new glasses as well because my old ones weren't as strong. Lately my contacts have been bothering me and when I wear my glasses I find that they flatter me more. I am now in a dilemma. I have a years supply of contacts, but I want to wear my glasses more often. But what about my new love for sunglasses?

I realize that this post is completely random and that I'm making such a big deal out of such a small matter but I am a girl, and as most girls we think about every little thing.

Tonight...

...while I was trying to put on my pajamas, my foot missed the pant leg and I almost tripped and fell over. Such, really is my life.
